In-Ear Monitor Consultation, Demonstration and Sales
In-ear monitors (IEMs) are devices used by musicians, sound engineers and audiophiles to listen to music or to hear a custom crafted mix of vocals and stage instrumentation for live performance or studio mixing. They are often custom fitted for an individual's ears and provide a high level of noise reduction from ambient surroundings. Fortunately there are many options available, but it is of utmost importance to choose the right monitor system for you before it is customized. Musicians Hearing Solutions is the only office in Los Angeles that offers demonstrations of all the products we carry, including JH Audio, 64 Audio, UE and Sensaphonics, so that you are absolutely satisfied you are making the right choice for your needs and budget.

This service is complimentary with purchase, however If you aren’t ready to purchase the day of the consultation there is a $150 consult/demo fee that will be placed toward your purchase once you are ready to move forward
CUSTOM HEARING PROTECTION/HEARING ENHANCEMENT PRODUCTS
CUSTOM MUSICIANS EARPLUGS
The Musicians ER Series high fidelity earplugs were developed specifically as hearing protectors for musicians and production personnel who are exposed to unsafe sound levels. They differ from over-the-counter plugs in that they are custom fit specifically to your ears and have a specially designed filter that reduces sound frequencies equally resulting in a clear and unmuffled sound quality. The filters are available in three different decibel reduction and are interchangeable in the case of needing different amounts of reduction for different environments.
ER-9 Nine decibels of noise reduction, perfect for everyday use
ER-15 Offers 15 decibels of noise reduction for more intense environments like concerts
ER-25 A full 25 dB of filtering to counter prolonged exposure to high noise conditions
Musicians ER Series high fidelity earplugs are recommended for musicians' who are not using in-ear monitors, concert go-ers or anyone who is exposed to a high level of noise.

CUSTOM SLEEVES FOR SHURE HEADPHONES
Custom sleeves for Shure earphones provide long-wearing comfort, and improve performance by providing a deeper, tighter seal for improved isolation and sound quality. Custom sleeves are the next best thing to custom earphones.

CUSTOM IFB MOLDS FOR TELEVISION AND PRODUCTION PERSONNEL
A custom telecommunication "Interruptible Feedback" earpiece is most commonly used by television personalities or production personnel so that they are able to communicate with each other during broadcast. Having a custom earpiece allows for improved comfort, sound quality and cosmetics.

CUSTOM SLEEPING PLUGS
Custom sleeping plugs are a comfortable solution for blocking out sounds of sirens, traffic and snoring and to aid in getting an uninterrupted nights rest. These solid sleeping plugs are made of a soft silicone material and reduce approximately 30dB of environmental noise.

AUDIOLOGY SERVICES
EAR IMPRESSIONS
Otoscopic inspection of ear canal and eardrum.
Cotton or foam block is placed past the second bend of the ear canal.
A high viscosity silicone material is used to take the impression and it sets in approximately 5-7 minutes. Patient may be given a bite block to prop the jaw open during the time the impression is setting if this is specified by the manufacturer.
After the impression material is removed another otoscopic inspection of the ear canal and eardrum is performed.
$150.00 for ear impressions only; cost for impressions with purchase of monitors is $125.00. If wax removal is needed there is an additional fee of $80.00
DIAGNOSTIC HEARING EVALUATION
Your hearing is important so it is recommended that you have a full diagnostic hearing test performed annually.
We are one of the only offices in Los Angeles to offer state of the art detailed hearing testing from 250 Hz – 20KHz (standard testing is from 250 Hz-8KHz).

We do not accept health insurance, however we can provide you with a paid invoice to submit for reimbursement if applicable to your insurance plan
HEARING AID EVALUATION AND CONSULTATION
Consultation is complimentary with purchase of hearing instruments, if you were not ready to move forward t the time of your office visit there is a consultation fee of $150 that would be put toward your purchase when you are ready.

CONCIERGE OFFSITE SERVICES
Travel to venue, rehearsal space or other arrangements can be made for impressions with an additional travel fee. Product demonstration can also be done offsite if specifically requested.
