Two Decades of the Highest Standards
With over twenty years of experience working with some of the world’s leading professional musicians, and even more time spent in the company of sound engineers, Dr. Glick understands a thing or two about sound quality. She has impeccable, high standards when it comes to hearing and hi-fidelity audio. With her experience anybody with hearing loss would benefit from her suite of audiology services.
Making the Most of Today’s Technology
Many hearing aid users focus on speech comprehension as their top priority. That’s why many models come with speech enhancers, directional microphones, and feedback cancellation. As a result, hearing aids that cater to the enjoyment of music are few and far between.
Dr. Glick leverages her expert knowledge of the sound quality that musicians and sound engineers require, and transfers her expertise to suit the everyday needs of those with hearing loss.

DIAGNOSTIC HEARING EVALUATION
A diagnostic hearing evaluation includes the following:
Otoscopy: A focused beam of light is used to inspect the ear canal to assess if the ear canal or eardrum has any obstructions or anomalies. If there is impacted earwax, Dr. Glick provides professional cerumen removal services.
Tympanometry: A plastic probe is gently placed into the ear canal to test the response of the eardrum and how it moves in response to sound. This allows Dr. Glick to identify if you have fluid in your middle ear and to examine how your eustachian tube and ossicles (the three smallest bones in your body) are functioning. All of these things, if not functioning properly, can lead to a conductive or mixed hearing loss.
Pure Tone Testing: The patient wears a pair of headphones in a soundproof booth. Various beeps are played into one ear at a time at different pitches and volume levels. You will be asked to respond when you hear them. This test measures your hearing level at each frequency, giving us a nuanced picture of your hearing condition.
Speech Testing: You are asked to repeat spoken words that are played in one ear at a time. This examination measures your understanding of speech at a comfortable listening level.
Hearing Aid Evaluation and Consultation
A hearing device will be recommended if your hearing test indicates a permanent hearing loss that is not caused by a treatable medical condition. If the test reveals any need for medical intervention, Dr. Glick will refer you to the best otologist to provide treatment.
Dr. Glick will explain the sounds you are missing and how hearing aids will help. She will discuss the intricacies of your specific hearing loss and offer various hearing aid models that would work best for you. Dr. Glick also provides demos of hearing aids to help determine the best devices for your needs.
With your input every step of the way, she'll help you select the best model, features, and level of sophistication of hearing aid based on your level of hearing loss, lifestyle, and financial circumstances.
